This morning, for the first time, it was cold enough that the frost survived the first rays of sunshine. There are tiny drops of dew frozen to ice balls. Where water has an absolutely smooth surface, finest grooves appear in the ice.

Heute morgen war es hier zum ersten Mal lange genug so kalt, dass der Frost die ersten Sonnenstrahlen überlebt hat. Dabei sind winzig kleine Tautropfen zu Eiskugeln gefroren. Dort wo Wasser eine absolut glatte Oberfläche hat, zeigen sich im Eis feinste Rillen.
