Alright, I’ve done the math. For every one thing I manage to clean up, a kid takes out 55. Multiply that times three kids, and you can see why I struggle. ⠀

I put baby gates up to keep the kids out of the kitchen for a few minutes so I could clean up from breakfast, and this is what the playroom looked like twenty minutes later. Oof. No point in trying to keep ANYTHING clean with this rascally crew running around. (And yes, I’m proponent of the kids pitching in and helping to clean, but at ages 1, 4, and barely 6, it is what it is.) ⠀

Seriously, having kids (especially multiple ones close in age) changes EVERYTHING—not the least of which is your ability to be “productive.” Sigh. Better just jump in and start chanting the “Cleanup Song” to get this party started.⠀
