The ancient stonework of the bridge has been held together for many centuries using Mortar which was made using hemp.
The immortality of the hemp mortars are due to its ability to breathe. Hemp can absorb moisture, allowing the Mortar to draw and release any excess water when needed.
Also, the Germans tried to destroy it, TWICE. 👊🌿💪
