New hotpot joint in Penang originated from Chengdu China. Their mala tbh was really yummy and flavorful. Itβs not just spicy but you can actually taste the sweetness of the broth. As for the other soup base we tried (tomato and pork bone) itβs really lackluster. If you like something mild then youβll probably like it. Choices of ingredients were a good amount and portion size was not that bad. β£
