We got this quote from a conversation between Kunle Adeyemi and Rem Koolhaas in the @guardian where they discussed the past, present, and future of the city and thought it was very relatable. The conversation between these two men was pretty insightful too, especially concerning the primary point how society was able to keep part of its physical self organized despite the dearth of planning during military rule. In their words, what happens to a society when a state is absent. What they found was that Lagos, "in terms of independent initiatives and ingenuity, mobilized an incredibly beautiful, almost utopian landscape of Independence and agency."
