I’ve heard a few high performers say that it’s good to read books our side of your interests. Books that challenge the way that you think.

I recently finished Crazy Busy. A Christian book written by a busy man and the things he does to not feel so overwhelmed. I am not Christian and this book was heavily churchy at times. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t get some great takeaways to help myself not feel so overwhelmed. This was a really good book.

Currently reading Enter The Zone. I do not enjoy learning about nutrition. I believe it is so unfair that we have all these amazingly tasting things we can eat but a lot of them are doing so much damage to the human race it’s unreal. I’m currently 2 chapters in and it’s a lot of information I’ve already learned in the 10+ years I’ve been doing CrossFit. What pisses me off is that this book was written in 1995 TWENTY FOUR YEARS AGO. We’ve had this information at least a quarter of a century, he had to take the time to write the book, yet people continue you to become more overweight and more sick.

All the information to all of our problems is out there. We live in the greatest time to be alive. We don’t have to struggle. We don’t have worry about survival of the fittest. Advancements in medicine and comfort have kept a lot of humans alive a lot longer than they would had lived in different eras.

I love educating myself on ways to avoid seeing the doctor and living a happy life. Living in this age with all the info so easily available is amazing. ❤️
