He came to visit the woman one day & he found her dead, blood drained, with the baby, Clem, gone, her cradle covered in blood. He assumed she was dead. Clem had been kidnapped by the group of vampires that had been killing people & her mother, & made her into one of them. Years later, the group of vampires were killed in their sleep, but Clem escaped. Vampires have become a myth since, no longer believed in, but Clem still lives, going about a normal life.
