For this years LJF, clarinettist Adrian Cox will be previewing music from his new album set for release in January 2020.
Over the past 2 years, Cox has been performing "Profoundly Blue”, a tribute to the great clarinet legend Edmond hall. Along with his top flight Quartet featuring Joe Webb (piano) Simon Read (bass) and Gethin Jones (drums) they toured extensively across Europe and in the USA where they performed at Dizzy’s Jazz Club, New York and have sold over 3000 albums.
Of recent, Adrian has been taking more time to write and record his original music and will be touring the UK extensively in January/February 2020.
Tonights performance will be the first chance to hear what Adrian and his band have been working hard on and we are delighted that Kansas Smitty’s plays host to the occasion. Sure to sell out fast.
