In-flight entertainment, more like in-flight edification 🤓 have you ever NOT read a book the first time you were “supposed to” only to have it come back into your life later at what is clearly the RIGHT time? I think this has happened a lot in my life. I’ll come across a book in think I ‘should’ read and maybe I just don’t buy it yet, or more likely I do buy it, but there’s already a stack at home waiting to be read and it doesn’t get pulled out til months (or years!) later. In this case, I went to an event and saw @jenniesallen speak at my church. I felt a little guilty that I didn’t purchase and read the book before hand. But to be honest, I think I listened to her sermon better and got more out of it coming in fresh with no preconceived notions or expectations. And then months later, the stars aligned and I found this copy of Nothing To Prove at Goodwill for less than $1! So of course I snatched it up. Turns out NOW is the exact perfect time in my life for me to read this book. I can let go of the guilt over all the things I think I ‘should’ be reading and doing and just trust God’s timing. Even with something as small and seemingly insignificant as reading a particular book. No detail is too small for His perfect provision. And like Jennie says in this book: “...kick in the castle. If this is God, you cannot mess it up and ruin it no matter how hard you try.
