Yesterday Dresden had at least 35000 people come out on the streets to demonstrate anti-racism. Unteilbar or Indivisible was the theme of the demonstration and they defended diversity and open society. Far right political parties like AfD discouraged people and expected violence but they were disappointed.
This demonstration of oneness comes a few weeks before elections in Saxony. Known for rise in right-winged violence, Saxony and its capital Dresden withers under pre-conceived notions. We need to tell better stories about such places and people who fight against such negative ideas and assumptions. Glad #unteilbar is a great way to start.
