The good news is there is a lot of things we can do to reduce this impact.

As an animal science and veterinary nurse educator i wanted to share my knowledge and experience in animal health and my ‘Sustainable Pet Ownership’ guide is a comprehensive but concise list of ways we can reduce their environmental impact. Some of the other major ways we can help include: 🐾 Neuter your pets to reduce litters.
🐾 Rescue don’t buy.
🐾 Don’t overfeed your pets.
🐾 Avoid foods containing beef.
🐾 Keep cats indoors during natural hunting hours.
🐾 Avoid clay cat litter.
🐾 Buy second hand pet accessories.
🐾 Use natural pet shampoos.
