Littlest has been in care of some sort since she was 15 months old - I was lucky enough to be with her full time until then.
her first placement was definitely a traditional daycare set up. open nearly year-round. lots of transition of peers and especially staff. Littlest was cared for but her dada and I were left wanting a little more in terms of enrichment.
she’s been at her second placement for almost 2 months now. it’s a Montessori school but isn’t a “Montessori or nothing else” kind of place which we really appreciate. Littlest gets to play outside every day - unless the forecast is dangerous (active storms or oppressive heat) - and is encouraged to engage in anything that interests her.
we love it. all of us. she’s happy there and we know that every day dada drops her off and I pick her up she was loved and cared for and supported in being her own awesomely unique self.
