Last night I had a dream that I walked into the pubs dept at my former job and it was completely empty, except for one desk. My late colleague Elizabeth (RIP) was sitting at the desk in the most fabulous Elizabeth style ever! She stared at me with a great, big knowing smile on her face! I said: “Elizabeth, you’re not alive. How is this possible?” She told me not to worry about that, and so I sat down, honored for the opportunity to chat. We talked for at least an hour. She had a lot of wisdom to share—as she always did. I kept focusing on memorizing her smile because I was afraid I’d never see her again. When I woke up, I couldn’t remember a single piece of our conversation. But I awoke with such calmness, such purpose, such inspiration, that I know she was telling me I did my best and all would be okay. I will move on to bigger and greater adventures! These pics are from my first anniversary at CRS, and everyone wore red in my honor. I feel blessed to have worked with such kind, compassionate colleagues, like Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing your time and wisdom with me for a while. I’ll take it with me and carry it in my heart. #editorslife #writerslife #afterlife #dreams #strongwomen #colleagues #restinpeace
