Here’s lil’ early 20s me. Awkward, shy, afraid of the world, esp Houston & always hiding behind my assimilated straighten hair. I met Jaime & Richie less than yr of moving to HTX & at a @thetoadies show, actually. “we’re here to rock” became an inside joke we’d occasionally say following +playing the intro of “Tyler”, in between songs during practise. This was a fun time. Jaime & Richie were the “gayest straight Guys” I’d met at that time, and practise always felt like a house party. I still laugh at homeboys energy who took over during the second verse. Everyone is drunk here, except me, of corpse. 🤘🏿 @vadentodd
