A little reminder to myself. Sometimes you have to takeoff your rose-colored glasses and see the reality of the situation in order to move forward. What you see might not be what you really want to see. It might not make you feel good. In fact it might make you angry, or even cry. Shame might overwhelm you, you may want to deny what you discover. That’s normal although painful, in the process of becoming self-aware. If you’re not aware of what’s really going on in the situation, meaning you are unaware of the reality. There’s no way you can actually move forward, and you will remain stuck in a Powerless cycle. The only way we can actually have true power in our lives, is if we are aware of how we are creating it. Once you become aware of the role that you were playing in your life, then you can make the conscious steps towards consciously creating what you do want to see instead, and therefore actually making lasting changes in your reality.
