Hangovers.⠀
⠀
If you took my advicefrom last night, I take full responsibility for how you feel right now 🤣🤣🤣⠀
In good faith, heres some tips for when pissed up turns to hungover.⠀
1. 🍔🍟Fight your initial urges. When your first wake up is going to be the most difficult part of the day. You’re going to want to eat everything in sight and drink enough calories to satisfy a small village. I personally couldn’t think of anything worse than limiting yourself to a measly 1000 calories Monday-Friday, all because you decided that a greasy full English, full fat Coke and maccies for dinner would ‘sort you right out’. Be mindful that hunger is cyclical. Your cravings will come and go, just do your best to ride it out.⠀
2. 💦Drink plenty of water. Alcohol is a diuretic, meaning that it causes your body to remove liquids from the blood through the renal system. To put it simply, it makes you piss like a race horse. You lose liquids the body needs to function and eventually become dehydrated. This tends to be a biggest reason for the side effects that come along with the dreaded hangover. So keep that H2O beside you at all times.⠀
3. ❓If you have an uncontrollable urge to eat, make the best choices possible. I find that when I wake up from the night before, that I tend to feel hungrier than usual. I have found that I would much rather eat a larger portion of lower calorie food, than a smaller amount of something more hypercaloric. Filling your plate with vegetables and snack periods with sweet fruit can really help satisfy the urge to indulge. ⠀
4. 📱Keep tracking. This is the most important point, because it applies to everyone who wishes to lose fat. If you keep in the routine of tracking your intake, not only does it force this action to become habitual, it allows you to see how detrimental a weekend of binging can really be.⠀
If you do happen to overshoot your calories, don’t sweat it. Just do your best to bring down your total across the next week. However I’d imagine after 7 days of watching everyone else eat, whilst you’re having to push through your third bout of hunger cramps that day, you may be more mindful next weekend👀⠀
