On Thursday, 11th July 2019 at @lets.gowork Fx Sudirman, @now_jakarta together with MVB Indonesia hosted a workshop focused on know-how to reduce the impact on the environment by segregating and reducing their waste and using eco-friendly appliances for restaurants all around Jakarta. 
According to studies by @waste4change, in Indonesia almost 13 million tons of foods are wasted every year.  While more than 800.000.000 million of people in the world do not have anything to eat. 
#FoodWaste is the third biggest contributor to climate change. In reality we often think that CO2 emissions, factories, coal mining are the bigger problem. The whole industry is at fault and that needs to change.

This is one of the reasons we started our latest project #SayYestoLess on which we connect hundreds of restaurants in Jakarta with the adequate companies that will help them be part of the solution. Our program includes analysis on the restaurants and bar and café waste issues. It also includes a sticker with our slogan #SayYestoLess to make the consumers aware on which restaurants are sustainable.

Individually we don’t possess all the expertise to make this happen but working together with specialists  from @avanieco, Y Waste,  @Waste4change and the Environmental Agency Jakarta Provincial Government we can do much more than just planning. 
We would like to extend our gratitude to all our speakers, they show us that alone we can’t do much, but in unity there is strength. We are the change.
