Keep chasing that sunrise, keep trying for the best angle, and keep challenging yourself to try new ideas. How will you ever make it if you don’t keep trying? .
Just a year ago, Mister D had serious doubts if I’ll ever make money with my current career path. He asked my mum, “Aren’t you worried that she’ll never make money and that this whole blogging thing will just fail?”. My mum said “It’s the best years of her life to go places and take photos. At least one day she will look back and have all these beautiful memories”. Thanks mum ❤️

A lot of you messaged me after I shared my thoughts on the Instagram algorithm (now in story highlights) the other day. Many of you voiced disappointment, and lack of motivation to go on. I understand it is much tougher to grow nowadays on Instagram. But I really hope that won’t stop you from capturing beautiful moments, because that’s the real value you walk away with if this whole Instagram thing fails. .
But also remember that nothing ever comes easy. If you thought that this is just about snapping some ‘nice’ photos, I can tell you that’s not how it goes 😆 The prep, the research, the early hours, the props, the learning curves, the actual shooting, the editing, even the growth hacking.. this takes hours and hours of tireless work and a ton of brainstorming. It takes dedication and a willingness to learn a bit of everything and try new things. But it doesn’t end there. It’s also about who you know, who you socialize with, how you position yourself, how often you put yourself out there (sth I need to get better at) and some luck. .
So if you REALLY want this, next time before you want to give up, ask yourself: have you done all of the above and more? .
