Native of the Northern Rhone gives its best in volcanic terrains, which accentuate its elegance, and in fact it does very well in Sicily and Lazio, that can add sea flavors also. It is the vine with which I had the pleasure of knowing this stunning farm.
The nose is a plenty of flowers, lily of the valley, lemon blossoms, narcissus, gardenia, acacia and lavender flowers, together with classic notes of peach, citrus peel to close with star anise, sage and cardamom. The hints that will make you recognize the Viognier are a typical fragrance, one and three, inextricable, of gooseberry, acacia and apricot.
On the palate it is warm, round, with a medium freshness, moderate flavor and a lingering finish that ends up in apricot flavors. Great minerality and elegance
