I still cannot believe my baby turned 15 this weekend. š At almost 6ft tall, I am amazed at the person he is becoming. He is hilarious, well-mannered, and silly. Heās a good friend and truly cares about othersā feelings. His incredible empathy, a quality heās had since he was little, has been one of my favorite things about him-along with his ability to make me laugh. As tough as the teenage years have been (itās no joke lol), he is still the sweet, kind-hearted, goofy kid I raised. But seeing how naturally he has stepped into the role of āman of the houseā makes me so proud and thankful that God blessed me to be his mom. He is my protector, a gentleman, he pumps my gas for me, double checks that the doors are locked when I go to bed lol, and checks on me if the weather is bad when heās not home. Heās been my support and held me as I cried when I lost my brother this year. He is such an example of how God can take anything and make it into something absolutely BEAUTIFUL if you put it in His hands. Lucas is the most amazing gift I could ever have received and I love him with every ounce of my being. Happy birthday baby. š
