Each time I come to India I am more and more grateful for the opportunity to meet the beautiful people, to listen to the stories, to experience this rich history and culture, and to be part of something that is so much bigger than I am - lighting a spark of HOPE in our sisters around the world. -
Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever guessed that I would get to travel the world teaching self-defense, dreaming up ways for women to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves, and helping to keep girls in school. My Yellow Brick Road has taken me to amazing places, and it continues to challenge and inspire me to keep going, keep working, and keep fighting. -
It’s time to click my ruby slippers and head back to my family in Kansas where the real work begins. There really is no place like home. -
