Behind the scenes - Life on the road
Racing on the NHRA circuit requires a lot of travel and time away from home. For us, racing is not just a weekend pastime or hobby, it is a lifestyle. To be able to do this, we have shaped our lives and careers around this sport.
Afton is an Advanced Production Control Specialist at DENSO North America and handles Supply Chain Management for off highway diesel customers. By using her laptop and mobile hot spot, she is able to do her work from anywhere on the road.
Joe also works while we are away from home through his consulting and parts sales at Swanson Performance. He works with customers at the track and answers calls and emails while we are on the road.
We also showcase and take orders for Swanson Hydro Graphics at every event we attend.
Having sponsors is a huge help, but at the end of the day, we are the ones responsible for keeping these wheels turning.
