Being in NYC you see a lot of things.
You see people wandering the streets like zombies strung out on drugs, EDP’s yelling at random people, people living in boxes, people faking having serious issues to beg for money then walking to the liquor store with nothing wrong.
Today a homeless man came up to me and asked if I could get him a coffee. I asked if that’s all he wanted and he said yes. I said no problem, I got you. I spoke to him and he said he was HIV positive and just trying to survive and he just had his clothes stolen. He was almost in tears when I handed him a coffee. He said people would curse him out and act nasty to him when he asked.
I said it’s no problem and to stay strong.
A cup of coffee almost brought this man to tears. There are a lot of people out there who need and deserve a little kindness.
Be good and do good.
