la sala del reloj es la protagonista de lá torre. En ella, se muestran como principales atractivos la maquinaria que se encargaba de que las agujas del reloj nunca fallaran y las increíbles vistas que la altura permite disfrutar. Esta parte de la torre no siempre lució un estado tan "saludable", construida en el siglo XIII la parte superior sufrió derrumbamientos, en parte ocasionados por el terremoto de Lisboa que azotó a toda la península ibérica en 1755, siglo en el que se procedió a su reconstrucción.
La maquinaria del reloj fue construida por José Francos en 1781. El intrincado mecanismo del reloj, lleno de palancas, engranajes y ruedas dejan paso a la serenidad y la sencillez de las vistas, las cuales permiten disfrutar del curso del río Duero por las faldas de la ciudad o el cimborrio que preside el sagrado templo.

the clock room is the protagonist. This part of the tower did not always look so "healthy", built in the thirteenth century the upper part collapsed, partly caused by the Lisbon earthquake that struck the entire Iberian peninsula in 1755, the century in which to its reconstruction.
The machinery of the clock was built by José Francos in 1781. The intricate mechanism of the clock, full of levers, gears and wheels give way to the serenity and simplicity of the views, which allow you to enjoy the course of the Douro River by the skirts of the city or the dome that presides over the sacred temple.
