Common Fitness Myths BUSTED!🦖
⠀⠀
9/10 of the times that I tell someone I am a fitness coach, they start complaining about how they are following a (ridiculously extreme) fitness/nutrition plan to the T, and still not seeing any results.
⠀⠀
Let’s see if your lack of progress is because you fell for one of these myths too👇
⠀⠀
“Fit tea burns fat”
⠀⠀
Nope, a caloric deficit burns fat. Consume less calories than you burn (your daily TDEE) for an extended period of time and your body will start using fat as fuel.
⠀⠀
“Carbs at night are bad”
⠀⠀
I fell for this one too. You should be focusing on overall quality and composition of your diet rather than the timing.
⠀⠀
“You can target fat loss”
⠀⠀
In a perfect world, maybe. But on Earth, you cannot choose where to lose fat first, only your body can do that. Meaning that training abs won’t magically give you a six pack, but proper nutrition will.
⠀⠀
“Supplements are necessary”
⠀⠀
Supplements are beneficial, but not mandatory. Having a balanced diet and proper training plan is enough to get AMAZING results at the gym, without the need to spend $$ on fancy products.
⠀⠀
“Lifting weights will make you manly”
⠀⠀
Ladies, our bodies are genetically so different from men. Lifting heavy weights and eating a balanced diet will make you look strong and in shape, NOT bulky or manly.
⠀⠀
Can we all agree on something? Fitness myths make most people feel confused on how to reach their goals, keeping them from ever taking action and improving their confidence and health. Before spreading any of the myths mentioned above, make sure to have the best interest for your audience in mind ❤️
