If you had to write a letter to your future self what would it say? Here’s mine:
Dear Future Julisa,
I just want to let you know how proud I am, not because of the awards standing tall in your living room, or the endless songs you created from walking through the streets, or the money that’s in your bank account. I’m proud of you because you showed up everyday, you never gave up on yourself and overcame obstacles that you thought you’d never climb. You became best friends with hard work and passion, and put love above all. You gave back to the very community that said you can be more and you will be more while showing children from your old neighborhood their environment, their circumstances don’t define their greatness. You traveled the world, you met so many amazing souls who shaped your thinking and perspective on life. In fact you became well, unapologetically YOU. Now take out that Evian water and toast to more good times ahead.
