Another birthday, another cake. I have always loved to bake and making cakes is fun for me. Especially when that cake is for a child. Elijah was thrilled with his TMNT cake tonight. Before he went to bed he gave me a big hug and said “Thank you for making an Elijah-free cake for me, Mommy.” If you’re wondering what Elijah-free means, he means dairy free or Elijah-friendly. Elijah has an allergy to dairy and while he can tolerate some baked milk and butter (but no baked cheeses), icing often has dairy in it. So, my cakes are always safe for Elijah.
