Throwback to UK & Netherlands Trip ๐ฌ๐ง๐ฑ๐บ
.
Climbing the top of a windmill was quite an awkward feeling, as if I shouldnโt exist here in reality, rather in a picture book. What an exotic view!
.
Goats and swans were enjoying their leisure time in this quiet, peaceful town of Zaanse Schans.
.
There was a cheese shop which was quite big in size, and I really, REALLY wished to buy all kinds they sold.
Without a doubt, I would tell everyone Iโd like to travel all over Europe just to taste various kinds of cheese - thatโs how much I love cheese.
.
And restraining myself to limit the number of cheese I could buy, just because the lack of space in my luggage and enormous weight of these whole cheeses, was just torture ๐ญ
.
But still, I managed to gain a few very interesting ones, such as Truffle cheese and Lavender cheese (itโs turquoise blue!). Even to this day, I regret with my whole heart that I didnโt get 2 of each. Ugh ๐ฉ
.
Another specialty of Netherlands - wooden shoes.
.
Before my dad got married, he traveled around Europe in the mid-80s when he studied in Paris, which was the era when traveling was a very special privilege for Koreans.
He brought treasures and trinkets from continents away, and among many, I vividly remember a big pair of wooden shoes in display cupboard.
.
Reminiscing that, I bought a similar sized, red colored pair of wooden shoes.
