A few years ago, while I was still very actively pursuing my passion of being a photographer, I still felt empty inside. I did these amazing photo sessions with my female clients who came for a glamour session and was getting pampered with hair and makeup and then I’d be taking them out for a meal post-photo shoot to finish off the day. 📸📸 .
They loved their photos once they saw them and one of them even told me that she was finally in love with the person she was seeing in the photographs. ❤️❤️
.
Despite all that, I still felt like I wasn’t doing enough. The pleasure these women got from seeing a few beautiful images of themselves was fleeting and temporary. I figured I still wasn’t following my calling and felt like I needed a “real” purpose in life. 🖼🖼 .
The exercise I describe in the video changed my life. It’s a common exercise that a lot of coaches do with their clients as did mine! And it opened up a whole new world!🗝 .
Ever since then, I have done this exercise innumerable times and fine tuned my purpose a little bit more with every iteration. I know I want to work with women, and it’s slowly getting clearer exactly how I’d like to serve them.
I don’t like to think my purpose is set in stone but as I evolve and grow over time, my abilities will evolve and grow and I may be able to fulfill a much higher purpose than I’m doing right now. Would you agree?
I highly encourage you to do this exercise even if you’re 💯% sure you know your purpose. You might discover some surprising things about yourself.
In the description of the YouTube video, I’ve included the worksheet and a sample from my own exercise to help you. I’d love to hear if you had any a-ha moments from this exercise.
