“We make choices, big and small, every day of our lives, and those choices have consequences. We have to face those consequences head-on, for better or worse. We don’t get to erase them just by saying we didn’t mean to. Fate or not, our lives are still the results of our choices. I’m starting to think that when we don’t own them, we don’t own ourselves.”

Not shockingly, Taylor Jenkins Reid does it again! I was so intrigued by the concept of this book - I love that her books always spark discussions and are really thought-provoking for me. Although there is romance woven throughout, it really is so much more than just a love story
.
There’s something about the way she writes characters that I can’t get enough of. They seem so fully human and I am attached to them from the get to. They are imperfect and endearing, and I always end up rooting for their happiness. Plus her stories just suck you in at page one
.
There is a strong female friendship at the center of this that I adored, and it made me so thankful for the friendships in my life that have become like family. One of my favorite aspects of this book was the way that she explored the idea of home, because I think we can all relate to the feeling of searching for our “place” where we’re safe and known
.
Definitely recommend this one. I think One True Loves is still at the top of my list, but I am so enjoying working my way through all of her older books! Also I loved reading this one with my bud @hvdreads ✨
