An expose on the gender data gap, Invisible Women highlights how the world is designed assuming that male is the norm, and women are just a minor differentiation from this. Naturally this causes a lot of issues which Perez highlights: lack of knowledge on women’s medical issues, poor design of phones, cars, space suits, side effects of drugs not being tested specifically on women...the list is endless.

Hopefully the knowledge gained in this book will galvanise change, and depressingly it’s often only when women get in positions of power and responsibility can they identify how biased the system is! .
