Wanted to get through the day and the feelings before I posted this.
April 23rd isn’t our favorite day by a long shot in personal and business. Today marks 3 years since Dylan left the world and the 1 year anniversary of losing everything in our stores fire.
To be strong for my boys on the day they lost their brother and then dealing with this is a tough one.
But they say that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
I’ve taken all these losses and try to learn from it. I’ve learned to live each day as my last. I learned to tell those I love that I do LOVE them and daily. I have begun painting the way I like and my style. Not what I think will sell in my area but what makes ME happy. I learned to keep my circle close and not trust everyone. I’ve also learned who my true friends are. I also want to thank those who called me today to check on me. It meant more then you know.
Today, business is better then ever!! I’m booked solid, store is busy, design work is busy and I can’t stop painting!
Most important lesson is what I have shown my boys.... never give up on your dream and your happiness. If life knocks you on your ass, get back up ninja style!
