This little golden sunshine flower is considered an annoying weed that most want out of their perfect looking yards. I love seeing this one pop up every spring, and they are everywhere!
.
Did you know it has medicinal properties and that you can eat it? And you can use the root, leaf and flower. ————————————————————
Here’s some benefits:
• its a liver support and detoxification • female health and hormone balance • clearer skin (by tincture, poultice, capsule or tea form)
• good source of nutrients (vitamins, minerals and antioxidants)
• blood sugar balance

If you know your yard is a safe (non-sprayed yard), you can consider harvesting it yourself. We have chickens and a neighbor dog, so, no thanks.
.
But, next time I’m in the wild, I’ll be harvesting some for sure.
.
Here’s a few things you can do with the flower: You can make a tea with the roots and leaves, put the leaves and flowers on a salad and make a coffee substitute.
.
I’m always amazed how our world is full of powerful superfoods all around that we just don’t even pay attention to. 🌼🌿
