🇫🇷 Aujourd’hui, grâce au @lepetitballon je vous emmène au Chili non pas pour y tester du #merlot maïs plutôt un cépage longtemps confondu avec celui-ci : le #carmenere ! Dans notre cas, il s’agira d’une cuvée « Cantoalba » du domaine de #laroncierewines . Dans le verre, on notera d’abord une robe pourpre très intense. Puis on découvre un nez sur le fruit frais et gourmand. Quelques notes boisées et de torréfaction sont également perceptibles. La bouche pour finir est plutôt corsée mais reste juteuse et équilibrée. Le fruit épouse parfaitement des tannins bien intégrés et soyeux. La persistance est légèrement courte mais reste bien structurée. En association avec un plat de pâtes à la bolognaise il paraît que c’est top !

Born in Bordeaux wineyards originally the Caménère grow nowadays all around the world but find a very suitable terroir in Chile. In our case we will taste a 2012 « Cantoalba » made by the large domain La Roncière. On the glass we first note the dark and intense purple robe. Then a nose articulated around fruity and wooden notes. And finally a middle bodied mouth, juicy and gourmet with well integrated and smooth tanins. The persistance is not very long but stays very well structured until the end. Paired with a bolognaise pasta dish it’s top, they say.
