Monday 🎈: my personal weekly new year 🎀
I spoke with a mom of one of our students this past Saturday. She told me of how her young daughter had become concerned with competition and how she measured to other students in piano, and school. I explained that while having a sense of competition around you has its place, it’s important to keep our efforts concentrated on competing with ourselves. 🎀
Monday’s are always a day where I reflect on how I am measuring up to my past self. Am I working smarter, living healthier, growing stronger in my faith, and being my best to those around me? The answer of course is always no. Not because of a self deprecating attitude, but rather the opposite. I know the greatest disservice I could do to myself is to not commit myself to reaching my full potential. 🎀
When we’re in competition with ourselves and we live purposefully, we pave our own path. My goal is to do things differently, pave my own way, and grow the parts of me that set me apart each and everyone of you to. As I encourage you all to do as well ✨💫
