I wanted to try something interesting for such a nice weather today! Here it is the Wheat Raspberry brewed by @amsterdambeer ! 🤤
It is brilliant in appearance, light-amber/copper in color, has large nice bubbles, medium-thick head with medium-retention.
Fruity tartness is perceived on the nose, raspberry is pretty evident in the aroma. Now, when tasting it, the raspberry character is just subtle (which surprised me because the strong aroma), it is actually very well balanced with malt flavors, some tartness and some sweetness on the back. There is no hop character.
It is smooth in the mouthfeel, light bodied, refreshing, highly carbonated, has low bitterness and crisp finish.
I enjoyed it, it is a good choice for a hot summer day. I liked that the raspberry flavor was not overwhelming and I could still taste the other ingredients. I would have liked it to have more body and a better head retention as some other wheat beers do. My rate is 8/10.
