I took a @lyft ride yesterday. My driver commented she was looking at my eyelashes & how beautiful they were. She then went onto say her boyfriend had beautiful lashes. I could see the flash of a distant memory in her eyes.

She had been with him for 8 years. Then they lost touch for quite a few years & finally rekindled their relationship recently. He was the love of her life. He died 3 months ago. .
She dropped me off to see Athena, Goddess of Wisdom (I see you, boo) & War, & in that moment I realized, standing there gazing up at her immense strength & courage, that life really can throw you some shit. But, these are the moments that define us. The times we get our hearts ripped out so bad & wonder why in the world this is happening to us.

Live through it. Learn from it. Listen to what the universe is telling you. Take risks. Move to be closer to your grandkids. Take the job in another city. Gain a new perspective. Travel to new places. And come out on the other side like the warrior you are.
