Don’t get me wrong, being more precise with calorie counting and macros is extremely beneficial for performance and body composition goals. I still have some of my clients weigh their food. However, it’s also a method that tends to have a short to moderate life span with “on and off” spurts. .

Most of us may count calories and macros for 3-6 months for specific reasons. Eventually we’ll push it to the side because we want to eat and live more freely yet still align with our fitness goal.
