The infusion experiment turned out great. The scent of Basil is intense, almost savory in character. I cannot wait to make my first Basil Martini. 🍸
2 oz. Hendrick’s Gin
1 oz. Home made Basil-infused Noilly Prat Vermouth
and a tightly rolled up slice of cucumber as garnish.

The cocktail does indeed taste great. There is a subtle but clearly present Basil flavour. And the Martini gets an almost spicy savory taste. The cucumber garnish does not add much, though. Next time I’ll use olives. 🍸
