I have a confession and it makes me a little nervous. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hate Mother’s Day. I know I’m not supposed to, I love my mother, she’s the other half of the business. I love being a mother, most of the time. Mother’s Day...........you can keep it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As this week has gone on it’s felt as though I’ve had a bonus week of PMT, who wouldn’t love another week of feeling irritable, irrational anger and oddly emotional! Mmmmmmm no thanks. It’s all due to this and I’ve figured out why. It all feels a little forced, a bit pretend and not actually heartfelt. Something done from obligation and not just because I am rocking motherhood with style and casual ease (possibly because NOONE is) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let’s face it, we’re all just winging it and who understands that more than other mothers. So tomorrow, whatever that brings, I shall be giving love, to those mothers that bring me hope, encouragement and drag my tired arse through this mental journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mama Bert upon hearing this, (another loather of Mother’s Day) professed her guilt that she made me hate it. Ah that lovely mothers guilt, turns out that it’s a life long thing. Joy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So there’s my confession.
