Mid Afternoon Slump !!

A conversation I have quite often ……… “I feel sluggish, tired and lethargic mid afternoon” !

Hands UP - who “often” feels like this at the same particular time?
#
If this is you, and you consistently experience these bouts of “tiredness”, and you’re sleep pattern is fairly good and regulated, then the likelihood is you need to address this “slump” through your diet!

And I bet, I bet - the majority of you try and fix this “slump” by going to the office vending machine, nip to the shop / canteen, raid the biscuit tin, get the coffees in - you know i’m right, munching there in your office with a doughnut, sweet treat, chocolates, scones etc etc ….. munch munch munch !

This can be due to a mismanagement of blood sugar, you’re relying more on processed / refined food choices as opposed to natural, dense quality foods which in turn could help to evenly distribute your energy balance a lot more efficiently.

As I said - if you constantly feel this way, you have a problem - this will affect your goals in the gym, you’re more than likely underfed and under fuelled with the correct nutrition, OR you’re just eating utter crap to try and fix your problem!
