While I have always used soon expiring bread as motivation to whip up mountains of french toast for breakfast, I’ve grown fond of it over the years. I might even dare say I like them better than pancakes 🥞. ⠀

This french toast recipe is one I’ve evolved over the years and is a mess free way to bring french toast to your work place for breakfast.⠀
⠀
• Leave bread out overnight to become stale ⠀
• Whip 2 eggs, 2/3 cup half and half, cinnamon, pinch of salt and soak the bread⠀
• Once on the griddle, sprinkle brown sugar over the french toast and allow to caramelize⠀
