Reflecting on my life journey through martial arts lately. Ive been out for 2 months and will be out until at least July. 
I’ve realized in the last few months how important it is to take time to let the body heal. Yes, I should have realized this a long time ago and yes I’m stubborn. •I call it PASSION• 
My whole life has been spent in some form of a dojo and to be taking time off has made me a little down lately.

Now with that being said, I am still hitting the gym and getting cardio in but I am modifying my workouts. I do 30-45 min on the stair stepper and run 1-2 times a week. I’ve put my focus on full body workouts trying not to compress my spine and not lifting heavy. I stretch and do my pt exercises everyday. I am keeping my muscle tone at the moment while my back heals and my “little” muscles get stronger. 
Take time to heal before it’s too late. I’m thankful I finally took the step to healing and that I have a Physical therapist @kmbengard and chiropractor that care so much about me. 
One day at a time! Can’t wait to get back in the dojo of Tae Kwon Do and BJJ.
