I still remember wanting to get a tattoo on my first ever trip to Korea only to find out that in order to be a tattoo artist there you have to obtain a medical license! I learnt that the many talented artist have to operate illegally... I was even more surprise when I found out that their studios were far from the sketchy tattoo parlours I have visited in both Europe and Asia.. I have now been lucky enough to have been tattooed by two extremely talented tattoo artists in Korea and would definitely recommend checking out their work.
