#18 on my list is none other than the Jets captain, Blake Wheeler. It’s so unfortunate for Arizona that they weren’t able to sign him to a contract after drafting him especially since he was such a high pick. It also sucks for Boston because they traded him away without giving him enough of a chance. You can make the case that he’s one of the best playmakers in the game. He didn’t really start to become a huge offensive threat until later on in his career (around 27 years old) so you can make the argument that if he was able to really get it going when he was maybe 23 years old, 1,000 points would be a very realistic milestone for Blake. (It still is very possible though). I loved how, last season, when the Jets were in Minnesota, playing the Wild, and the Vikings playoff game highlights were shown, he did the Skol chant with the rest of the crowd. A true Minnesotan at heart. 💜💛. One of the most underrated leaders in the game.
