I’ll never forget the phone call that I received (4) months ago from my childhood best friend, Troy Broussard, in a panic concerning his sons diagnosis with cancer in Lafayette, La at only four years old.
I immediately said “STOP, we have to get him into @stjude for a second opinion”! Because of @skyhighforkids long history with St. Jude as a donor & comfort provider, we have a phenomenal relationship with our representative she helped elevate the referral process & within a week he was walking through the doors of St. Jude to start the best treatment plan for Burkitt Lymphoma in the country🙌🏻
(Graham was recovering from surgery & needed to heal before transportation from Lafayette to Memphis)
Some rounds of Chemo were tough but with the grace of God & the amazing care @stjude Graham is now CANCER FREE & HEADED HOME🙏🏻 This week the Broussard family celebrated “No Mo Chemo” & traveled back to South Louisiana❤️ Though feeling a lot of pressure the day I received that phone call, I am extremely grateful @skyhighforkids was the first thing that Graham’s parents thought of when hearing the words “Your child has Cancer”...I am grateful that God has placed Sky High on earth to help save his children daily. (Troy remembered participating with @anadarkopetroleum at our annual Lafayette Sporting Clay Shoot years before)
@stjude works on a referral process. Your doctor can refer you or YOU can do it. YOU can help kids get the chance for the best care for FREE by simply picking up the phone and calling St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. (St. Jude must treat the type of cancer your child is diagnosed with)
