I used to do nothing but sit around and get high
and of course fuck my guy
then one day I had a good cry
and decided to hold my head up high and try
to be by myself, make it on my own, not struggle to get by
and be done asking myself why
because all we were was a lie
and now you’ll never have that power again, that’s right,I’m saying goodbye
because you make almost everything you touch go awry,
I thank you for teaching me self-worth and why I shouldn’t be shy,
you made me feel so confident, I really felt so alive,
like I could fly,
but now I
solidify
my own confidence and self worth.
Like my kids’ll be taught to do from birth.
Like everyone should on this earth.
Because you can’t love anyone else
until you love yourself.
