Today’s reality - finally not a snow day, yet another kid staying home. . . This part of being a mom can be so nerve wracking. No one wants to see their babies not feeling well. But if there is anything I’ve learned in my almost 8 years as a Mom, it’s to trust your gut and going with your intuition. . . I never sent my kids modern medical care if it’s warranted, but I also appreciate that I can see a fever for what it’s worth. I don’t feel the. Red to whisk my child off into the cold to sit in a pediatrician office that is ladled with other germ infested kids 😷 Only to be told togo home, drink fluids and rest. Or worse, be prescribed something unnecessary just because psychological it might make me feel better about the whole situation. Like I’m ‘doing my duty’. . . So my mom skills might not be the favored option, but this kiddos getting lots of rest and time to let the fever run its course.
