I have a love/hate relationship with Swans.

On the one hand they are beautiful majestic birds that mate for life and whose presence always makes for a gorgeous photograph. On the other hand, they can be aggressive pterodactyls that will defend their territory, terrorize small innocent children, and bite your finger off if it gets between their mouth and a bread crumb.

My apologies for the Swan rant, here is a photo of a beautiful mating pair at sunset in Lyon, France. This was seconds before the one on the right, turned around and charged me.
