Love is a virtue which enables us to love God above all others and in all others. You love God above all others firstly when you hate sin and practice the Godly virtues needed in daily life and secondly, when you treat your neighbor with respect and consideration due to him/her. 1John 4: 20. In your efforts to help others, beware of falling into impatience when your plan fails. Guard also against an over-eagerness to change others. When it seems like you have done all you can to correct a defect, and all efforts seem to hit a crossroad and they insist on continuing in their error, pray for them and leave them to God, He will transform them to Himself. Romans 14:4
Always remember, every one has a fault and each one has his/her burden. We ought to bear with one another, help one another, console one another, and warn and instruct one another in Love.
So would you pray about that hurt in your heart keeping you from fully loving that son, daughter, friend, colleague who.has hurt you deeply? Would you love yo put a call across to them and tell them you forgive them?
Take your time in doing this... as long as you are willing, keep asking Jesus for the grace to love and He, in due time will make it easy for you.
